this area is kind of outside the mall already but it's still air conditioned. (an open area before you can reach the other side of the mall) |
experiencing singapura.
sometimes, i don't feel like writing/typing anything if i posted a lot of photos already, but right now i feel like sharing something, if not everything.
if you really have a good eyesight or if you've been reading my blog for quite sometime now, you'll notice that there's something odd about my photos. (now i've mentioned it, you probably checked it again. or did not.) well, i kinda vowed to myself before that i won't be posting a lot of photos captured by my phone in a post, but on our second day in singapore, i was too tired to bring my not-so pain in the A dslr, aside from the fact that i thought that the 3-point adapter we bought the night before at Mustafa Centre, a 24 hour mall, wasn't compatible to my camera battery charger, ergo, my battery got empty.
we started our second day by going to a mall called Funan DigitaLife where we looked for a laptop and bought my new ipod. around 1pm, we had our city tour (we got an agency since it's more convenient.) the city tour includes: a drive around the Civic District, a visit to Merlion Park, to an old chinese temple called Thian Hock Temple, to a jewellery factory, to the National Orchid Temple, to Little India and a 30-minute ride on the Singapore Flyer. before we rode the flyer, we got a little problem with our tour voucher. we booked and paid a tour that includes a ride on the singapore flyer but our voucher didn't specify it. we waited for almost an hour, but we were glad that they were kind and considerate enough to settle it between them, agencies, and gave us a pass to ride since it was really an inconvenience to our part.
after riding the Flyer, we went to Bugis Street where mom bought pasalubongs (homecoming gifts.) it was around 10pm when we rode a train back to where we were staying. when we arrived in our room, we nearly collapsed on our beds since we've been walking most of the time since our first day. even my parents, who are not inborn whiners, complained (and it was still our second day— hello third and fourth day!) but we enjoyed our day nonetheless.
P.S. God bless to all of my friends and batchmates who took the december Nursing Licensure Exam and are still waiting for the results. i know you will all pass! think positive and pray! :)

Oh wow! Great photo diary, SIngapore looks super fun, I've only been there three times but I know it's really fun. You should check out my denim on denim on neon kidult look, which sort of looks like Peter Pan gave me a makeover... tell me what you think of it even if it only provokes you a bit ;)
